What area do you cover?

Gleamology covers Cannock & the surrounding areas, Hednesford, Heath Hayes, Chadsmoor etc If you are not sure whether we will cover your location please get in touch & we will happily check this for you.

Do you bring your own cleaning supplies & equipment?

Yes, we bring all of our own supplies, so you don’t need to worry about having the right product for the job. The only electrical item we require will be the use of your vacuum cleaner (unless it is an end of tenancy one-off Gleam).

If I have a regular service will it be the same person each time?

Absolutely! Danielle, Gleamology’s Founder, will be carrying out each & every Gleam personally.

Do you have a background check?

Yes, a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check has been completed & is renewed every year to give you peace of mind that your home and possessions are safe with Gleamology.

Do you have insurance cover?

Gleamology is committed to taking the utmost care whilst in your home. However, to ensure the company and customer are both protected in the event of accidental damage we are covered by public liability insurance.

Are you COVID secure?

Having a hygienically clean home is more important than ever and we are continuing to provide our service with a few changes so this can be achieved whilst ensuring the health and safety of all our customers.
Provided both Danielle and all those residing in the Customer’s household are well, not showing any COVID-19 symptoms & not self-isolating the service can continue. All Government guidance regarding excellent hygiene standards & maintaining a 2-metre social distance as far as possible will be in practice. Disposable cleaning products & shoe coverings will be utilised as much as possible, along with suitable PPE. Any re-usable cleaning items such as cloths etc will not be re-used at another property prior to being fully disinfected & washed to avoid any potential cross-contamination.

How many hours will I need?

For our Weekly/Fortnightly Gleam this will depend on which areas of your home you would like to include. For One-Off Gleams or our Home Organisation Service, this will be determined based on the condition rather than an hourly basis. Prior to any service Danielle will come to your home & carry out an initial evaluation. Here you will be able to meet one another & confirm you are comfortable to proceed. Your exact requirements will be documented on our ‘Customer Requirement Form’ & a quote shall be provided for the service requested. Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date the quote was provided.

Do I need to have a minimum number of hours?

There is no minimum number of hours required for any of our services.

Am I tied into a contract?

No, if you need to postpone & rearrange the service for any reason you will need to provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled service time. If you would like to cancel the service, then you must provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled service time. Any changes or cancellations that occur after the required notice period has passed will be chargeable in full at Danielle’s discretion.

Will I need to be at home whilst the service is carried out?

It is not necessary for you to be present so long as you feel comfortable. We do offer the ability for you to provide us with a key to the property. You will be able to pass this on during your initial evaluation & a ‘Key Acknowledgement Form’ shall then be completed to reassure you that it will be looked after & kept in a secure place whilst not in use.

What types of payment do you accept & when is this required?

Gleamology accepts the following payment types; standing order, bank transfer, card payment via our chip & pin terminal, or cash. If you will be present whilst the service is carried out then you can pay prior to us commencing or alternatively if you will not be home, payment is required at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled service time.

What if I am not 100% happy with my service?

Our aim is to exceed your expectations after each & every ‘gleam’. However, if for any reason, this is not the case just let us know! Simply contact us within 24 hours of our visit & we will happily return to rectify any issues, no questions asked & at no additional cost to you with our Gleamology Guarantee.

I am looking for a cleaning service for someone who has dementia, will you be able to help?

Of course, Gleamology is a Dementia Friend & Danielle also has prior work experience as a Domiciliary Carer & a Care Assistant within a Care Home specifically for individuals with Dementia. Rest assured with Gleamology your loved ones can receive the support they need with minimal disruption to their home life & routine.
